2011 Hall of Fame Inductees

The Hall of Fame is a major initiative for the International Network of Women in Emergency Management (inWEM). Here we honor women pioneers and leaders in the fields of civil defense, emergency management, and homeland security. These women are found throughout local, state, tribal, and federal governments; volunteer, faith, and community-based organizations; private industry and nonprofit sectors; and academia and military services.

The Hall of Fame’s mission is to recognize women from around the world who continue to dedicate their lives and careers while serving in professions that include education, science, medicine, engineering, and military service.  These innovators demonstrate keen abilities to build partnerships by incorporating and working with their partners while overseeing prevention and protection of life and property, public health, safety, critical infrastructure and facilities.

Our Inaugural Hall of Fame awards ceremony was held in Las Vegas, Nevada (USA) during the International Association of Emergency Managers  (IAEM) conference. This year, we are pleased to announce that our 2nd Annual Hall of Fame Gala Reception and Induction Ceremony will be held in conjunction with the IAEM 60th Annual Conference and EMEX 2012 in Orlando, Florida (USA) .
